actually, this is the first time i ever watched korea sitcom.
what makes me interested with this sitcom, at first, is Hoya kkk~
but i also read the synopsis before, and it also seems great.
and the rate is also good. for a cable channel, they said that the rate is quite high.

This drama will focus on the extreme fan culture that emerged in the 1990s when idol groups took center stage and K-pop was blossoming.
It tells the story of 6 former high school friends from a school in Busan who meet again in 2012 and brings back memories to 1997 when they were still high school students. Moving back and forth between the ’90s and today, the story centers on the life of Sung Si Won (Jung Eun Ji), who idolizes boyband H.O.T., and her 5 high school friends.
actually, the story is really simple. a love story between childhood friends with some problems.
what makes me fall in love with this drama, a simple love story but really happen in real world.
and also the memories. it really bring us back to the old school time 🙂
love. friendship. family. that’s what this sitcom about.
the story line is backward. starting with a reunion on 2012. and the story goes from 1997 and 2012~~
and i’m really curious with what happen between. the PD-nim are so great. Kudos for them! And I’m watching 14 eps in 2 days lol
what Shi Won did over HOT, was really funny. really a hardcore fan girl kkk~
though i am a kpop fans, but i never do that far. but it’s fun to watch her like that.
actually the story isn’t about the fangirling. It’s just another side of story.
Reply 1997 is a story about first love. A teenage love story. An unrequited love story. A broken heart one.
Shi Won, Yoon Jae, Tae Woong (Yoon Jae’s hyung), Jun Hee. They all are trap on this story.
no doubt for Shi Won and Yoon Jae’s chemistry. they can really be a real couple and I guess rumors already out there.
anyway, i like Yoon Jae’s character. a smart bad boy, and not a really romantic person ;p
i also love their friendship
actually, at first i never thought that Tae Woong will be fall in love with Shi Won.
so there the story, a triangle love between brothers.
and sorry to say, i’m not really in love with Tae Woong
and Hoya aka Jun Hee! He is so 대박!!
his story is different. A love between men. It’s quite a sensitive topic but they wrap it well.
it even seems like a pure love. an unrequited love that end as a best friends. It is really heartbreaking :’)
his acting somehow look so real. his gaze and cool act. and as a friend, he is really a good friend! i want have a best friend like Jun Hee~~
i love his character and acting the most!! i love all his dialogue~
“The reason I like you? Because it’s you. Just you. That’s the only reason. I wish I knew. Then I could figure out how to stop liking you. If I can avoid it, I only want one thing. To stay as a friend who doesn’t change. For heartache. For love.” – Kang Jun Hee (Reply 1997)
and the busan accent, aww it really look same like japan accent. though I might get annoyed at first, but I’m used to it now ^^
if I have to give this drama a rate, i would give 5 out of 5! one of the best drama that really heart warming ❤
i can’t wait for the last 2 eps ><
and i also love the ost that eun ji and seo in guk sang together. they are match well ^^
this is OST part 1 – All For You
added OST part 2 – Our Love Like This ❤ ❤
after hear this song, i remember that this is the song that 2PM’s Junsu sang on Immortal Song last year.
i really love this song!! especially when Junsu sang it kkk~~
With the list of old songs that played as background music ♥
the background music is great and lovely, here is the list that i enewsworld has shared.
thanks for the list, enewsworld! *hats off*
Yangpa – ′Young Love′
This song played in the scene where Yoon Jae (Seo In Guk) and Si Won (Jung Eun Ji) kiss near the faucets. It′s a song that effectively showcases Yangpa′s brand of dramatic emotions.
H.O.T. – ′You and I′
H.O.T. isn′t a group that sang only songs that pointed fingers at society; if we said that, we would be putting H.O.T.′s great ballads to waste. This song especially had lyrics that pulled people up when they were in need, and expresses Joon Hee′s (Hoya) emotions toward Yoon Jae well.
K2 – ′As Beautiful as Sad′
This is the song that Joon Hee anonymously gave as a present to Yoon Jae every day. K2′s high notes layered on the song′s strong rock sounds represent Joon Hee and Yoon Jae′s relationship, portraying a sad love that can never happen.
Kim Jung Eun – ′I Love You′
This is a song that seems to provide a glimpse into Yoon Jae′s feelings when he can′t bring himself to confess his love toward Si Won because he′s afraid he′ll lose her as a friend. This song played in the scene where Yoon Jae, lying in the hospital, kissed Si Won when she was asleep in front of him, and stared at her with loving eyes.
Seo Ji Won – ′I Miss You′
The lyrics lament over a lost love, and Seo Ji Won′s trademark voice joins the lyrics to form a great harmony. The song brings people who are hurt by love or miss being in love to think back on bright memories of those emotions.
Sechs Kies – ′To You, Whom I Love′
These lyrics confess love toward a loved one. It′s one of Sechs Kies′ ballads, and brings strength to Hak Chan (Eun Ji Won) and Yoo Jung′s (Shin So Yul) confession scene.
Delispice – ′Confession′
Yoon Jae and Si Won′s theme song! It is reminiscent of the memories these two share of those days when they bickered but were always together. The point of this song are the mellow vocals playing on top of a calm guitar melody.
Exhibition – ′Drunken Truth′
′Why do you just smile, does it sound like a joke′, the lyrics say, and closely resemble how Yoon Jae took Joon Hee′s heartfelt confession as a joke. Kim Dong Ryul′s attractive low notes feel comfortable yet sad, and sound like they come from the bottom of Joon Hee′s heart.
Riaa – ′Tears′
Riaa was perhaps the most individualistic and explosive female vocal of the 90s. In Tears, her unique and strong vocals give off a sad feel, making the song linger in your ears for a long time.
